The clerkship
Emergency Medicine Clerkship
Fourteen twelve-hour shifts paired with senior residents. Students attend weekly didactics, perform procedures, and deliver case presentations — training at Temple’s Level I trauma center and at McLane Children’s Hospital alongside EM-trained and pediatric emergency medicine faculty.
Where You’ll Work
The main Medical Center in Temple — a Level I trauma center rated among Fortune’s top five teaching hospitals for over a decade — and the Children’s Hospital.
What You’ll Do
Work up undifferentiated patients alongside residents and faculty, perform procedures, and participate fully in emergency medicine conferences.
International Graduates
IMGs may apply through a formal application with a non-refundable fee; the form is available on the BSW Health website.
